Dallas, Texas: Ruth Nicholson, left, and Virginia Culpepper demonstrate the latest idea for modern sleepers, the air conditioned bed. Thermostatically controlled, the curtained-in cover encloses the sleeper to the waist, offers complete indifference to the weather at all seasons and includes electrical outlets for such living-in-bed appliances as a clock, radio, toaster, peralator, curling iron. The invention is that of A. E. Scheffler of Dallas which will be exhibited to the public at the Southwestern convention of the Inventors of America in March. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches.
