A large built-in speaker and BTL amplifier circuit provide clear, powerful audio. The compact body operates using two AA alkaline or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, making it convenient for travel, outdoor use, aviation enthusiasts, and radio-monitoring hobbyists.
