About the real car

The Pagani Zonda R was never intended to be road legal. It was designed with a single purpose: to become the ultimate track-focused expression of Horacio Pagani’s engineering philosophy.

Although inspired by the Zonda F, the Zonda R shares only a small percentage of its components with the road-going model. It features a longer wheelbase, completely redesigned aerodynamics and an advanced carbon-titanium monocoque chassis, making it lighter, stiffer and significantly more capable on the circuit. At its heart lies the legendary Mercedes-AMG 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12, producing approximately 750 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed sequential XTRAC racing gearbox.

With a dry weight of just 1,070 kg, the Zonda R accelerates from 0–100 km/h in under 2.7 seconds and exceeds 350 km/h (217 mph). Massive carbon-ceramic brakes, adjustable Öhlins suspension and race-developed aerodynamics generate enormous downforce, allowing the Zonda R to perform at the level of contemporary Le Mans prototypes.
