This is an Interesting Unframed Original Watercolour Painting, by NEW ZEALAND / AUSTRALIAN Artist, MIKE NOONAN, (1921 - 2000). It is signed Upper right, and was painted around 1950.

It shows a lovely Project titled "IDEAS FOR CARTOON", which has Figures and Dancers.

A Good Piece of Art History, and has come from The HARRY ROSENGRAVE Collection.

It is Unframed, and is far brighter than the photos shows.

MIKE NOONAN, (born NZ, 1926 / died AUS 2000). He arrived in Australia in 1940, after Service in Armed Forces during WW2. He Studied Art at the National Gallery School, Melbourne, and at University of Sydney, 1947-1950. He became a Prolific Author for Radio, Television, Film, and Plays. He Lived in the UK from 1957, and wrote for Television and helped Pioneer the Australian Series of Flying Doctor, (1959), and others. He returned to Australia in 1978/79. He later died in Brisbane in 2000.

This Watercolour work, is in Excellent Condition, and measures, 9 1/2 inch by 12 inch, (24.1 cm x 30.4cm). (Image size).
