Good condition for a vintage trade paperback. The plastic wrapping on the front cover is crinkled at top and bottom which has allowed a darker coloring from the tanning on both covers. There is some rubbing on the edges , roughness on the top of the front cover and a slight tear at the top of the back cover. Otherwise the book is intact, complete with no marks or highlighting. The spine is good . Binding is secure. There is a dogear on pages 17-18.
learn chess from the masters is an unaltered, unabridged republication of the first edition (1946) of Chess By Yourself. It provides ten actual tournament games chosen for their interest, their clarity, and their easily-isolated principles. Apparently published later than 1956, maybe 1959.
