This antique Victorian "sliced" puzzle is titled "Noise on the Tally Ho. Unlike traditional interlocking jigsaws, sliced puzzles were designed to teach spelling and word association. When a child correctly aligns the wooden strips to spell the phrase "ON THE TALLY HO"** at the bottom, the beautiful, vibrant illustration of a horse-drawn road coach perfectly pieces together above it. The artwork features a highly detailed, colorful scene of an energetic "Tally-Ho" carriage being pulled by a team of four galloping horses while a rear passenger sounds a coaching horn. MEASURES 7" X 8-1/2".
