For sale is a small Italianate silver holy water font in a Renaissance style, likely German, as is.  The piece is 5 1/2 inches long by 4 1/8 inches wide and by 1 7/8 inches deep and weighs 118 grams.  It is cast silver with aa central view of the Madonna form a paining by Raphael.  It has a shell form bowl with a single applied foot so it can stand upright.  It has not been monogrammed.  It is marked on the foot with a crown, another object and a sword, likely Hanau German pseudohallmarks

Condition on the piece is fair.  The hanging loop at the top is broken off and missing, as are some other edge pieces around the back of the bowl.  There are other bends and normal wear.  Still an interesting piece of devotional silver.
