Late 19th C. American gold leaf frame with delicate pattern applied by leaf. 

Overall size is 23.5X19.5X2.25 inches.  The back rabbet opening fits art 18"x14", allowance 1/8", depth 1/4".

This antique is in original shape and gilt with original patina. There are many imperfections here and there.  The upward-facing edges faded a bit more than the other parts. Please refer to the photos for its antique condition. However, the wooden structure remains sturdy, and the decorative patterns are almost complete.
