Rare, completely authentic vintage baseball broadside advertisement promoting an exhibition matchup between the independent Jaffrey A.A. and the Salem Rams. The game took place at the historic Humiston Park on Sunday, August 3rd. . This piece features the original printer's credit line at the bottom border for the historic "Sentinel Printing Co., Keene, N.H." Combined with the 35-cent admission fee and the explicit reference to Daylight Saving Time (D.S.T.), calendar records heavily narrow this poster down to the 1920s or 1930s era (most likely 1924 or 1930). This was the golden era of New England independent town-team baseball and barnstorming. The poster features bold, crisp period typography and an iconic silhouette graphic of a baseball batter mid-swing. An exceptional, museum-quality piece of early 20th-century New Hampshire sports history and local ephemera. MEASURES 14" X 22"
