Vintage SIMOND Super D ice axe with a classic wooden shaft.
The head is marked “Simond Super D,” making this a nice collectible piece from the historic French alpine brand SIMOND.
SIMOND is a long-established mountaineering equipment maker from the Chamonix area of France, known for its alpine and climbing tools.
This piece has a strong vintage alpine appearance, with a wooden shaft, steel head, and aged details that give it excellent display presence.
It comes with an EVERNEW leather head cover.
Please note that the cover appears to be an accessory and may not be the original SIMOND cover.
The shaft marking is faded, and there are scratches, rust, stains, and signs of age/use throughout.
