This was probably made by a company called EMIL BRENK.

Who were known for making extraordinary items of this kind.

Markings on the Silver Bottom read: 925 Sterling EB Made in Germany U.S. Zone. 

Contains a single compartment with original Powder Screen, 

and a lovely quality MIRROR in almost perfect condition.  

Just needs a touch of Windex.

Exquisite Estate Condition.

This “Germany US Zone” mark means the piece was made 

at the end of World War II between 1945 and 1949, 

when the marks changed to read “Made in West Germany,” 

“W.Germany,” or “Western Germany.”
