This vintage sterling silver abstract pendant necklace comes from my father’s personal jewelry collection. He was a metal smith and jewelry maker during the late 1960s and 1970s, and many of the pieces in his collection were either made by him or acquired through fellow artisans during that era.
The pendant features a bold modernist, sculptural design with an open, organic form that reflects the artistic style popular in studio jewelry of the late 60s and 70s. The textured surface and flowing structure give it strong visual impact while remaining lightweight and wearable.
