Kaoru Mitoma is a Japanese footballer and left winger for Brighton & Hove Albion and the Japan national team.

In 2021, he joined Brighton & Hove Albion and debuted in the Premier League in 2022 after a loan to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium.

During the 2022 World Cup, he played a key role for Japan, making a famous assist against Spain that secured their place in the knockout stage
