This 18k yellow gold antique diamond and ruby bird necklace or pendant is in VERY GOOD CONDITION.
It’s from the early 1900’s and it’s stamped with a French eagles head hallmark.
Each of the 3 swallow birds are beautifully hand engraved by a master jeweler.
There is a total of 29 antique diamonds and 33 natural square shape red ruby gemstones.
I don’t know the carat weight of the stones. Although it’s not noticeable, some of the rubies may have been replaced.
It can be worn as a pendant or a brooch.
As a pendant, the 18k yellow gold chain measures 19 3/4 long. To wear it as a brooch, on the back side
you screw on the hinged pin and the barrel clasp.
The brooch measures approx. 48.8 mm (1.9”) x 31.4 mm (1.2”) The brooch and chain weighs 16.3 grams.
The chain is not original. This museum piece is ONE of a KIND.
Any dark or light areas you see on the brooch or on any of the stones are reflections from my camera.
