Up for sale is a used, non-running example of the highly collectible Imperial Models IM-101 HO brass Southern Pacific AC-9 2-8-8-4 Articulated steam locomotive and coal tender, road number 3801, lettered for Southern Pacific Lines. This model was produced in the early 1960s, imported by Gem Models, and built by Akane in Japan. The locomotive features factory-applied black paint with white lettering on the tender and extensive fine brass detailing throughout. This locomotive is being sold as-is for repair or parts only — the front engine unit does not connect to the rear portion of the locomotive and appears to be missing a joining part. The motor is present, but has not been tested. No returns will be accepted. The original Imperial Models box is included in average condition with all four corners taped.

I entrusted my mother and father's (Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz) memorabilia to Connectibles, and during the entire evaluation and auction process, never for a moment did I feel anything less than completely confident, protected and guided by experienced and compassionate professionals who love what they do. We got wonderful results and the best part... it was great fun!"
