Royal Copenhagen porcelain figurine entitled "Children with Puppy" (Cod. 707), which depicts two children together with a puppy. The model was designed by the artist Christian Thomsen in 1905; based on the mark under the base, this example is produced between 1985 and 1991.
Like all Royal Copenhagen figurines, it is made entirely by hand in compliance with Danish manufacturing traditions: the ceramic paste is poured into molds and the different parts assembled by expert craftsmen; after a first firing, the figurine is decorated and enamelled by hand by a specialized painter, and is then subjected to a second firing and careful quality control. Each piece, despite deriving from the same mould, is therefore slightly unique in its pictorial rendering.
Royal Copenhagen (Den Kongelige Porcelainsfabrik), founded in 1775 under the patronage of the Royal House of Denmark, is one of the oldest porcelain factories still in business in the world, renowned throughout the world for its hand-painted porcelain figurines.
On the bottom there is the original Royal Copenhagen brand with the Crown above the three Wavy Lines, the model number and the initials of the painter who made the decoration, to guarantee authenticity and original Danish production.
The figurine is in perfect condition, original and first choice, with no chips, cracks or restorations noted.
