Description

For auction is a passenger train timetable for the former Seaboard Coast Line Railroad (SCL); it is dated April 28, 1968. The SCL was created by a merger of two former rivals for East Coast traffic, the Seaboard Air Line Railroad (SAL) and the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad (ACL).
This timetable includes all passenger trains run by the SCL -- it famous "named trains" (such as the Florida Special Silver Meteor, Champion, Silver Star, Silver Comet, Palmland and Sunland), as well as local trainsEquipment manifests are included for the major runs.
This is a great timetable. It includes a 2-page centerpage map of the SCL system and a detailed map of the SCL's Florida service; fare tables for both coach and Pullman services; illustrations on different types of Pullman car services; and some vintage railroad advertising.
This publication measures appx 9x4 inches unopened, 9x8 inches opened, and contains 24 pages; it is printed on medium-weight paperstock. Best yet, it is in excellent condition and appears to have had little if any use-- there are no rips, tears, writing, markings, spills or smears, and the binding is secure with all pages firmly in place.
A nice item for the SCL or timetable collector.
