Description

Passenger train schedule for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad "Potomac Valley Service", dated October 27, 1968. Prior to the advent of Amtrak and Marc, the B&O offered frequent rail service between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, DC, with continuing service to Brunswick and Cumberland, Maryland and to Harpers Ferry and Martinsburg, West Virginia. This was the so-termed "Potomac Valley Service". For auction is a timetable for these trains.
Separate columns are provided for eastbound and westbound trains. Trains are listed by run number, with arrival/departure times for all stops. There is also a fare schedule for one-way, 10 trips, unlimited weekly use, restricted 30 day use, and unlimited 30 day use. One-way fare between Baltimore and Washington was $2.00; for $36.60, you could have unlimited transit.
The timetable measures appx 6 x 2 3/4 inches folded and opens to appx 8 1/4 x 6 inches. It is printed on medium weight paper in a multicolor format. The timetable is unused and in excellent condition - no writing, marking, spills, smears, rips or tears.
A great item for the B&O railfan.
