1976 Amtrak railroad passenger train timetable - New York-Philadelphia trains

The National Railroad Passenger Corporation, doing business as "Amtrak", is a publicly funded railroad service operated and managed as a for-profit corporation. It began operations in 1971, to provide intercity passenger train service in the United States and assumed passenger routes and equipment previously operated by privately-owned railroads. Amtrak operates more than 300 trains each day on 21,300 miles of track to more than 500 destinations in 46 states.

For auction is a passenger train timetable from Amtrak dated October 31, 1976; it lists trains between New York City and Philadelphia. These routes include named trains such as the "Southern Crescent", "Embassy", "Merchants Limited", "Minuteman", "Colonial", "Palmetto" and "Murray Hill". Trains are listed by run number and name, with run frequencies and departure times for stations served. There is also a fare schedule and a map of Amtrak's nationwide network.

This timetable measures appx 9x4 inches closed and opens to appx 20x8 inches. It is printed on medium-weight semi-glossy paperstock. The timetable is in good condition, with no rips, tears, writing or markings; there is a corner fold and minor cover wear.
