Renaissance Renaissance redefines occasionwear, celebrating the complexities of modern womanhood while honouring the rich traditions of craftsmanship.
The brand bridges past and present, drawing connections between eras, generations, cultures, identities, and ideas, bringing them into a new era of innovation.
Founder Cynthia Merhej, a third-generation couturier, was immersed in fashion from an early age, growing up in her mother’s Beirut atelier. This intimate environment nurtured her passion for garment-making, where she learned to sketch, style, and photograph.
After studying at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, Cynthia returned to Beirut to merge her creative vision with her family’s sartorial heritage, giving rise to Renaissance Renaissance. Today, the brand operates between Paris and Beirut, with collections proudly made in Lebanon, working closely with local artisans and family-owned factories to ensure quality, sustainability, and social responsibility.
Merhej’s designs go beyond clothing; they are artifacts of personal evolution, inviting wearers to explore their own narratives through fashion. Her vision is of a woman who elegantly challenges conventions, embracing duality—moving seamlessly between the poetic and austere, masculine and feminine, experimental and traditional.
Each collection unfolds as a chapter, merging timeless craftsmanship with contemporary sensibilities to create garments that transcend time.
Since its founding in 2016, Renaissance Renaissance has received prestigious accolades, including nominations for the LVMH Prize and the Fashion Trust Arabia Prize. Cynthia has also recently designed costumes for the upcoming film adaptation of Bonjour Tristesse, starring Oscar-nominated actress Chloë Sevigny.

As standard I offer ebay's International Shipping Programme for overseas buyers. I think that this is simpler for buyers and sellers.
The downside is that I do not know what ebay charges buyers. If you feel that the quoted shipping cost is too high, please let me know and I can advise the cost for using Royal Mail instead.
I take time to try and ensure that my listings are accurate and that descriptions and gradings fairly reflect the item in question.
If there is a fault that I am aware of or find, it will always be noted.
There is just no point in my being dishonest because if anything does go wrong it is me that loses out.
I always include at least one picture of the actual item although if I have more than one for sale it could be of another identical one. In addition I may include stock pictures simply because they can often give a much better representation of the item.
eBay's Item Specifics can be very tricky to complete, veering between too many and totally irrelevant detail to nowhere near enough. Again, I will complete them to the best of my ability but I may not know for example, what "type" of fabric, what "style" of sleeve or whether an item should be described as a small example or a medium one.
I am always happy to answer questions or to correct a listing if additional information comes to light.
I plan to add my own measured sizes to all of my clothing items where possible rather than relying on labels or size guides.
If I make a mistake or an item goes missing, I will do my best to rectify the situation to your satisfaction. It is highly unlikely that there is any problem that cannot be solved by communication.
I would never list anything if I had reason to believe that it may not be entirely genuine.
I mostly have my dispatch time set at 2 working days because eBay's delivery estimates are very arbitrary and I do not want to cause you to think that the item will arrive sooner than it may. Most items are actually sent the next day or even the same day, where possible.
If you have got this far, thank you for taking the time to read it all and once again, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or problems at all.
