1970 Mario Andretti Signed Photo and Letter - Mr. Everything in Racing"

A nice set of two signed items from Mario Andretti in 1970.  At the time the letter was written, Mr. Andretti was the defending 1969 Indianapolis 500 winner and would go on to place 6th in the 1970 Indianapolis 500.

Mario Andretti achieved a level of success in auto racing that will most likely never be equaled or surpassed.  He won the Daytona 500 in 1967, the Indianapolis 500 in 1969, the Formula One Worlds Drivers' Championship in 1978, and many other auto racing accolades too numerous to mention.

The photo measures 8" x 10" and the letter measures 8 1/2" x 11".  The inscription on the photo reads "Best Wishes Mario Andretti".  The letter, on Mario Andretti's letterhead, with an embossed lower case "a" in the lower left corner, makes mention of the signed photo and is dated May 28, 1970.  I believe the photo has an authentic, hand signed inscription and signature of Mario Andretti.  I also believe the letter was hand signed by Mario Andretti (please note the letter, inscription and signature have not been authenticated).
