Vintage Ornate Frame Cat Photo Hidden Art Signed Towne Landscape Painting 2 In 1

- Vintage two-in-one art piece.

- Front features a framed color photograph of a gray cat with boat rigging in an ornate gold composite wood frame with a linen liner. No glass included.

- The back reveals an original 5” x 7” vintage oil on board landscape painting used as a backing board. The painting features a textured palette-knife woodland scene and is signed Towne.

- Frame Measures approximately 9” x 11”

- This is a found piece. While initially I thought what a great photo of someone’s obviously much loved kitty, I was shocked when I saw the little MCM treasure that was serving as a backing board.

- I have left this piece exactly as found. I can understand someone wanting a framed photo of their fuzzy friend and am thankful that they had the sense to face the painting outward so it could be found again.

NOTE: Frame is good vintage condition with minor wear and age-related toning. There is no glass over the photo, this has lead to fading and spots on the photo, see Pic #9. The photo and linen liner show minor age-related toning/dust. The oil painting on the back has bright colors but shows indentations and frame rub around the perimeter from the glazier nails.
