Hill, a catcher, was drafted by the Dodgers in the 4th round in 2000. In 2002 he played in three games for LA, hitting a double for his first major league hit (1-for-3 at the plate). From 2004-2005 he played for the Arizona Diamondbacks. From 2007-2012 he played for the Chicago Cubs. He also played for the Miami Marlins (2013) and Philadelphia Phillies (2014). Overall in 341 games he hit .207 with 8 home runs. A standout at Wichita State University and longtime resident of Wichita, Kansas, Hill, now 47 years old, was inducted into the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.
