GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6950 (part number GV-R695D5-2GD-B) is one of a few GIGABYTE desktop graphics processing units, based on AMD Radeon HD 6950. The GPU is produced using 40 nm technology, and boasts TeraScale 3 Unified Processing architecture. The card has graphics clocked at 800 MHz. It also has 1408 stream processors, 88 texture units, together with 32 color ROPs. The Radeon HD 6950 comes with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. Because the memory is clocked at 1.25 GHz, and utilizes 256 bit interface, the effective memory bandwidth is 160 GB/s. The GPU has PCI Express 2.1 interface, and needs 2 motherboard slots. The maximum power consumption of this model is 200 Watt, which is the same as on the reference design.
