Welcome!  This is a tiny paper ring box from a shop called The Doll House in New Orleans.  It was located at 640 Royal Street and operated out of the Le Monnier Mansion.  It has a date and patent no. which shows the ring insert or holder in the box was patented.  This was a newer concept in the 1930's.  To create a way for a lovely ring to be presented standing up, so to speak.  This ring holder/insert was designed by someone named Green according to AI.  Lots of history for a tiny box.
