Late 19th century Chinese soapstone seal of square section carved with raised character on the bottom. The first photo shows the image of printing surface flipped left to right, so the seal can be read. Very nice variegated color soapstone, crisp carving of the characters on the bottom, inscribed on the side (probably the name of the owner), old traces of red seal paste in the grooves, in excellent condition, very nice scholar’s object. Height 1.4 inches, printing surface size 0.2 x 0.2 inches.
