Late Meiji (1890s to 1912) Japanese dense dark hardwood seal carved with raised character on the bottom. The first photo shows the image of printing surface flipped left to right, so the seal can be read. Excellent quality crisp carving of raised character, old red seal paste in the grooves of the seal. Very nice scholar’s object. Height 2.39 inches, base diameter 0.47 inches.
