19th century Chinese soapstone seal with carved sunken characters on the bottom. The first photo shows the image of printing surface flipped left to right, so the seal can be read. Nice variegated color stone, good carving of the characters, old traces of red seal paste in the grooves, comes with fitted brocade case for the bottom in excellent condition, very nice scholar’s object. Height 1.58 inches, base 0.98 x 0.46 inches.
