19th century Chinese soapstone seal with carved sunken characters on the bottom. The first photo shows the image of printing surface flipped left to right, so the seal can be read. Very nice variegated cream color stone with a hint of translucency, crisp carving of the characters, old traces of red seal paste in the grooves, in excellent condition, very nice scholar’s object. Height 1.58 inches, base 0.6 x 0.59 inches.
