In order to extend the life of BF B43 B48 P-216-218-220 engine, usually people need to remove the carbon and the clean the cooling fins, then adjust the valves every 200hour. However, every time we tear down an engine that blows a rod they have burnt or out of adjustment valve on the other piston, they will lose some power. So people might turn up the throttle, other side carries the load for a while, then take out the rod, replace the rod and do the same thing again.
