It comes with the fully functional Meade Autostar Controller, diagonal, and 2 eyepieces: Meade 26mm Super Plossl (Multi-coated) & a Celestron 25mm Kellner (Fully coated), objective solar filter, & 12V power supply to power the scope.
The cradles for the C size batteries are to power the scope when not using the power supply. What was/is wrong with the original setup & why it had to be modified, I do not recall. It was that way when I purchased it. But the battery setup using the cradles works fine. I never had problems with it.

I have added several more pics & to sweeten the deal I have added 3 more eyepieces, making a total of 4 eyepieces
The eyepieces are in addition to the 2 eyepieces, that were initially part of this auction).
One has an eyecup & appears to be a Plossl, there is no notation whatsoever on this eyepiece. The other 2 eyepieces are both Criterion A.R.’s a 9mm & an 18mm. I have added these additional pics.
