Authentique carte géographique dressée par Rigobert Bonne, Ingénieur de la Marine. Cette estampe d'époque provient de l'Atlas de toutes les parties connues du globe terrestre destiné à illustrer l'œuvre de l'Abbé Raynal, publiée en 1780.
Le document présente l'Europe, l'Asie, l'Afrique ainsi que la Nouvelle-Hollande (Australie). Les limites des continents sont rehaussées d'un coloris de contours à l'aquarelle d'époque. Deux sphères scientifiques ("Effet de la Pesanteur" et "Sphère Oblique") complètent la composition dans les angles inférieurs.
État : Excellent état de fraîcheur. Papier chiffon fort et sain, blancheur d'origine préservée, sans rousseurs ni mouillures. Marges d'origine entières et pli central d'édition vertical présent. Numérisation réalisée sur fond noir pour attester de la conformité des bordures.

This genuine copper-plate engraving from the Age of Enlightenment represents a premier acquisition for discerning collectors of global history and antique cartography. Meticulously engraved on chain-laid paper, this document was drawn by Rigobert Bonne, Royal Navy Engineer, for the Abbé Raynal’s monumental historical works.
The chart delineates Europe, Asia, Africa, and New Holland (Australia). Continental boundaries are highlighted with fine contemporary hand-colored outlines (period watercolor). Two scientific diagrams ("Effet de la Pesanteur" and "Sphère Oblique") occupy the lower corners.
Condition report: Outstanding. Strong and bright period chain-laid paper, free of foxing or waterstains. Full original margins and original vertical fold as issued. Scanned on a solid black background to demonstrate edge integrity.
