This offering is for the October, 1946 First Printing of THE MORGAN DENNIS DOG BOOK (WITH SOME SPECIAL CATS) written and illustrated in B&W by Dennis, with a Foreword by Sydney Coleman and an Introduction by Dennis. It was published in an unpaginated quarto format measuring 8.5" x 11" filled with over 100 full-page and smaller B&W reproductions of sketches "done in preparation for book and magazine illustrations, commercial advertising, calendars, cards, etc.". It is bound in cream cloth titled in brown on the spine and has a Dennis sketch of a Scottie on the front cover also in brown. Laid in is a 5.5" x 8" B&W photo reproduction of a sketch of a frog-chasing Scottish Terrier which can also be found reproduced in this book.
