Pylontech Force FH2 BMS Controller FC0500M-40S-FH (BMU) With Base and Cables
The FC0500M-40S-FH controller, also listed under variations such as FC0500M-40S-FH2 or FC0500M-40S-V2 depending on the kit version, is the Battery Management Unit for the Pylontech Force H2 high voltage lithium iron phosphate battery system.
What this controller is used for
This BMU is installed on top of the Force H2 battery stack and is a mandatory component for correct system operation. It is responsible for:
- Monitoring and protecting the battery tower including voltage, current, temperature and fault detection
- Managing communication between the battery system and the inverter via CAN or RS485
- System start up and control using the integrated start button, status LEDs and internal control logic
- Enabling parallel operation of multiple Force H2 towers using link ports to create a master and slave configuration
How many Force H2 batteries it can control
One BMU is required per Force H2 tower. A single tower is normally built using 2 to 4 Force H2 battery modules connected in series. Each module operates at 96V, resulting in total tower voltages of 192V, 288V or 384V.
Important: Most Force H2 systems require a minimum of two battery modules per tower. Single module operation is not supported. While some listings may state higher module counts, standard manufacturer and distributor guidance confirms 2 to 4 modules per BMU.
What is included
This controller set includes all essential components required to complete the top section of a Force H2 battery tower:
- BMU controller FC0500M-40S-FH
- Base for the Force H2 battery stack
- Power cables for inverter connection
- Communication cables for CAN or RS485 inverter integration
Why you need it
- Essential for operation as the Force H2 system will not function without a BMU
- Ensures safe high voltage battery management and inverter communication
- Provides a clean and organised installation with dedicated power, communication and link ports
- Designed specifically for Force H2 to ensure correct voltage handling and protection strategy
