Installation Steps
1. Drain Old Oil: With the engine warm, remove the drain plug to completely drain the old oil into a catch pan.
2. Replace Filter: Remove the old filter using the proper tool, and apply a thin layer of new oil to the gasket of the new filter.
3. Install Tighten: Hand-tighten the new filter until the gasket contacts, then tighten to specification; also reinstall and tighten the drain plug.
4. Add New Oil: Pour the specified type and amount of fresh engine oil through the fill port under the hood.
5. Check Test: Start the engine to check for leaks around the filter and drain plug, then recheck the oil level with the dipstick after turning it off.
