1) ITEM DESCRIPTION
Condition : As shown in the picture, it's very good condition. No any major damages. There are a little small lacquered-peeled spots on the upper & bottom sides (Please refer to the last 2 pictures to check them).
This is a vintage Japanese high-class woodcarving Noh and Kagura mask, which was made about 40-50 years ago.
The character of this mask is a kind of Shinto Gods, "Omoikane".
The signature of the artisan is carved on the back side. The original wooden storage box with the signature of the artisan is also included.
"Omoikane" is a Shinto god of wisdom and intelligence. His name means "serving one's thoughts."
