1) ITEM DESCRIPTION

This is a vintage Japanese pottery tea caddy of Seto ware, which was made by the 1st class potter, the 31st Tosaburo Kato (1948-) about 30 years ago.
He is a great potter, who was identified as an important human cultural treasure of Seto City, Aichi prefecutre, Japan in 2008.
He is the official successor of one of the oldest and greatest potter's families of the 1st Tosaburo Kato (since 16 century).
The lid is made of high-class material (If you'd like to surely confirm the material, please kindly contact me.)
The seal of the potter is stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature of the potter and the original cloth bag, SHIFUKU are also included.
