1) ITEM DESCRIPTION
Condition : As shown in the picture, it's very good condition. No chips, No cracks.
There are original natural surface dent spots on the body, which occurred in the time of manufacturing (Not a fault. Please refer to the last picture to check it).
This is a vintage Japanese pottery Sake cup of Seto ware, which was made by one of the greatest modern potters, the 4th Sakusuke Kato (1909-) about 50 years ago.
He is a great potter, who was designated as a Human Intangible Cultural Treasure of Aichi prefecture.
The signature of the potter is carved on the bottom. The original wooden storage box with the signature of the potter is also included.
