1) ITEM DESCRIPTION

This is a vintage Japanese Tenmoku tea bowl of Kyo ware, which was made by a famous potter, Gyoun Kitamoto (Hiroshi Kitamoto, 1942-) about 30 years ago.
The Japanese Emperor seal (Imperial seal) is molded and painted on the body.
The seals of the potter and his kiln name are stamped on the bottom. The original wooden box with the signature of the potter is also included.
Kyo ware is one of Japanese the most traditional wares, which was started around 1590. They are typically painted with overglaze enamel pigments.
