Item Description :

This is a vintage Japanese copper lid rest, 'FUTAOKI', which was made by the 1st class artisan, Hikobei Kanamori about 30 years ago.

'HANE, a shuttlecock of Japanese badminton-like game' is molded. 

The original wooden box with the signature of the artisan is also included.

Futaoki is used for tea ceremony. 

Futaoki is used to put a lid of kettle or MIZUSASHI (water container) on it. Futaoki is one of essential item for tea ceremony or tea party.
