Item Description :

This is a vintage Japanese hand-painted porcelain Sake cup of Kutani ware, which was made by the 1st class potter, Tamekichi Mitsui about 40 years ago.

Tamekichi Mitsui is a great potter, who was accepted at one of the most famous Japanese art exhibitions, Nitten Exhibition many time since 1967.  In addition, the Prime Minister, Masayoshi Ohira, Zenko Suzuki, Yasuhiro Nakasone ordered his work to make the leader of China a present in 1979, 1982 and 1984.  Furthermore, the Prince Mikasa and the Prince Hitachi officially bought his works in 1976 and 1980.

3 KARAKO (Chinese children in old time) are hand-painted. 

The seal of the potter is hand-written on the bottom.  The original wooden box with the signature of the potter is also included.
