Up for auction is an authentic, highly collectible vintage early 1970s Mattel Barbie doll clothing separate garment. This is the centerpiece long-sleeve bohemian patchwork coat from the iconic Mod-era "Country Casuals" fashion ensemble, release pack #3485.
The coat beautifully reflects the folk-revival aesthetic of 1972, constructed from multi-colored paneled fabric stripes. It features alternating blocks of warm harvest orange fabric stamped with elegant brown rose motifs, soft sage green panels decorated with leaf sprigs, and vibrant mustard yellow floral calico fabric running down both long sleeves. Tailored to fit standard 11.5" vintage Twist 'N Turn (TNT) and early 1970s Barbie doll figures. A fabulous, high-demand statement piece to restock an elite vintage collection layout or fulfill an active era restoration project!
Condition:
Good pre-owned vintage condition. The structural fabric panels keep strong seam connections and bright, distinct print coloration throughout. The miniature hem stitching lines are straight and stable. The cuff ends show light, expected age-appropriate textile storage fraying typical of 1970s cotton-blend doll garments (untreated, please review macro photos carefully for close-ups on fabric structure). No prominent storage stains or large tears. (Coat separate only; doll, stand, and additional matching ensemble trousers are not included).
