5.1" Petrified Calcite Wood polished slice from Irfoud, Morocco.  This slab is cut and polished from a new find of natural Petrified Calcite Wood featuring intricate banded and orbicular formations.  Petrified Calcite Wood is a type of fossilized wood where the original organic material is replaced by Calcite rather than the more common Silica.  A beautiful polished fossil specimen great for display, collection, and study.
