American Belleek Bowl

Beautiful romantic scalloped rim, handled bowl by Willets Belleek produced in Trenton, New Jersey. The fancy rim has crimped edges and is brushed with gold trim on both the rim and handles. The porcelain is translucent and the glaze is silky smooth and rich. The bowl is monogrammed on the front with initials JBL.

8" long handle to handle; 4" high; 6" diameter

Belleek serpent mark with Willets beneath and Belleek above; c1880-1909. Also marked with a number that appears to be 419.

Very nice antique condition with strong pattern and high glaze. Overall, the gilt is good but the high points on the handles show a little light wear consistent with age. There are a few scattered specks of thrown grit which was done during manufacture.
