Description

Here is a nice rare 18th century axe with a long handle, possibly a naval boarding axe in good original condition. The iron and wood surface has a dark smooth patina from age. The solid original handle has a nicely shaped end. Originally from Edinburgh Scotland from a maritime collection. Measuring 17 inches long and the head measures 6.4 inches wide and the blade measures 1.6 inches long.
