Up for your consideration is an authentic Private Mailing Card (PMC) featuring a beautiful multi-view design of Fort Ticonderoga and the historic Rogers Rock Hotel on Lake George, NY. This card is a genuine piece of American postal history, printed shortly after the Act of Congress on May 19, 1898, which first allowed private publishers to use the 1 cent domestic rate. Rogers Rock, a luxury resort in Lake George, tragically burned down in 1911. An undivided back with the required legislative authorization text on the reverse. In overall good condition for its age. Some light foxing/spotting and natural age toning as seen in photos. Minor corner rounding and light shelf wear. The card pictured will be the exact card that you will receive.
