November 19, 1881, “None so blind as those who won't see” The Political Magazine Judge
Vol. 1 No. 4 Front Cover Page Colored Lithograph.
Judge was a weekly satirical magazine published in the United States from 1881 to 1947. The first printing of Judge was on October 29, 1881, during the Long Depression.
It was launched by artists who had seceded from
its rival, Puck. The founders included cartoonist James Albert Wales, dime
novel publisher Frank Tousey, and author George H. Jessop.
Measures about 10-1/2 x 14-1/2 inches.
Acceptable Vintage Condition. There is some age
wear, tears, age toning to paper, edge wear, corner wear, and Staining.
Cosmetic condition is as clearly and
accurately shown in the high-definition pictures provided.
Please inspect all of them carefully!
Overall, a rarity and very uncommon. This Vintage Judge Magazine Front Cover
