Placement & Sunlight (CRITICAL): This is an OUTDOOR tree. Japanese Maples require natural seasonal temperature changes to survive. Place it on a patio, deck, or in a garden. Provide bright morning sun and protect it with partial shade during the intense, scorching heat of summer afternoons to prevent delicate leaf burn.
Watering: Maples thrive with consistent moisture. Check the soil daily. Water thoroughly until it drains out of the bottom holes ONLY when the top surface of the soil feels slightly dry to the touch. Never allow the mature root system to dry out completely.
Winter Care: As a hardy temperate deciduous tree, it MUST experience freezing winter temperatures to enter its essential state of dormancy. Protect the pot from severe, deep freezes, but keep the tree outdoors.

It will rest securely during the cold months and emerge with a spectacular flush of fresh leaves in the early spring.
Immediate Action Upon Arrival: Please unbox your bonsai immediately upon delivery. Check the soil moisture and water thoroughly if dry. Place it in its outdoor location. Do not apply heavy fertilizers or structurally prune the tree for at least 3-4 weeks to allow it to acclimate safely.
