Vintage 1960's Green Lucite Bubble Dome Ring size 8.5

     This awesome true vintage green bubble dome ring was made in the 1960's from Lucite. DuPont introduced this transparent thermoplastic resin to the market in 1930. Initially, it was primarily used in industrial and military applications due to its durability and versatility. However, its unique properties soon caught the attention of jewelry designers who were looking for a lightweight and affordable alternative to traditional materials like metal and gemstones. Lucite's ability to be molded, carved, and dyed made it an ideal material for producing intricate designs with vibrant hues that were not possible with natural gemstones. The affordability of Lucite also allowed for mass production of trendy designs, making it accessible to a wider audience. This is a size 8.5 woman's fashion ring. The dome measures 1 1/4" wide X 1 1/4" across X 3/4" high with a 1/4" wide band. It is in Excellent pre-owned retro condition with only minor surface abrasions.
