Necklaces like these were produced in Europe and America around the 1900-1910 period and were amazing examples of the influence of the Art Nouveau design period.
These piece features three Amethyst dangles and oval Amethyst in a bevel setting, as well as a bit of sparkle in the small central prong set diamond. The design is a flowing open ribbon feeling with engraving to add dimension. The inverted triangle structure at the bottom is a slight nod to the Art Deco movement that followed. This piece was was just a bit ahead design wise. The chain is a delicate oval link approximately 8 inches in length per side. The clasp is a spring loop.
This is truly a beautiful example of a Art Nouveau Lavalliere necklace.
